What is personal data

Any data that can identify you as a person or be used in conjunction with other information to identify you.

Why we wish to receive personal data and the type of personal data we collect

  • We receive personal information because we wish to encourage and give hope to young women journeying with cancer through the giving of a Fire Lily pamper box.

  • We will collect and hold the name and address/contact details of an individual (where this personal data is provided) who is journeying with cancer for the purposes of delivering a Fire Lily box to the individual.  Once the Fire Lily box is delivered, the name and address/contact details of the individual will no longer be held or stored in any digital or written form by Fire Lily.

  • We will keep a record of the number of Fire Lily boxes that are delivered each year to individuals by means of a tally within age brackets (estimated age).  Individuals will not be identified. This tally of information by age bracket will be kept for the purposes of promoting the Fire Lily message to potential sponsors.

  • We will collect and use email addresses of individuals where their consent has been provided to be included in a Fire Lily mailing list for the purposes of sharing points of prayer and devotions.

How we get personal data

  • Personal information will be disclosed to us (in digital form or by word of mouth) from individuals journeying with cancer or from third parties. This information will not be retained beyond the initial contact of delivering a Fire Lily box.

  • Where consent has been given by an individual to be part of a Fire Lily mailing list, the email addresses of individuals will be kept only for the purposes of sharing points of prayer and devotions.

How we store your personal information

  • We will only keep email addresses from individuals for the period of time that consent has been provided to be part of a Fire Lily mailing list for the purposes of sharing points of prayer and devotions. Once individuals give notice that they wish to unsubscribe from the mailing group, their email addresses will be deleted.

  • Any personal data given to us by digital or written form will be deleted once a Fire Lily box has been delivered to an individual.

Do we disclose your personal data to any individual or organisation outside Fire Lily?

We will not share the names and addresses of any individual with any other organisation or individual beyond Fire Lily.
